iPad 3 review

Hello guys. Haven't reviewed anything in a while, sorry for that. Anyone, I'll see if i can make that up today.

Reviewing the IPAD 3

Yes, I know this came a few months ago, and this is a late review, but i'm still gonna give my opinion on apples newest iDevice.

The graphics.
Retina display huh? Is is all its cracked up to be? Why, the new screen looks amazing. I mean AMAZING. Plus, the colors look great, so that's a bonus even if your app doesn't support the new display. At normal viewing, the pixels blend together. Before i used this iPad, i thought my old 3rd gen ipod looked amazing. I was completely wrong. The graphics will amaze you whether you change from an already retina display iPhone or iPod, or a first generation iPad, iPhone or iPod touch you will be amazed by how many pixels there are. Whether this is a good thing for everyone, i shall talk about later in this review.

The camera.
The camera is a nice feature, but its not totally needed, and most people with an iPad don't use it much as a camera. The iPods and iPhones do great jobs at this, but the iPad is just too bulky.  The camera isn't on par with the 4S, however is about the same as the iPhone 4. It takes good pictures, and handles very well the infrequent use i put it thorough.

The battery.
We all want the retina display, but there is a catch. The retina display takes a lot more power then the iPad 2's display, and so apple decided to give it a bigger battery. This does give it some extra bulk, but not much, and isn't very noticable unless you put them side by side. Getting back to battery life, it is definitely not as good as the iPad 2. With my use, and I use it mostly for gaming, it lasts maybe 5 hours maximum. But if you use it for other tasks, like browsing the web, checking facebook, occasionally watching a video, etc, it would last a lot longer.

The portability.
Not much to say on this. Basically as portable as the iPad 2, though it is a teeny tiny bit thicker, as I said before.

The conclusion.
All in all, a very good device. If you are a gamer or a person who watches a lot of movies, without any current tablet, go ahead, get an iPad 3. But if you aren't going to use it for any of those heavy usage type of tasks, and are only going to type on it, browse the web, etc, do yourself a favor. Save $100 and get an iPad 2. It will suit your needs just fine, and save you some money to. if you already have an iPad 2, please try not to upgrade. There really isn't that much your missing, and the iPad 2 is still a really good tablet.
